She attended Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts High School for 4 years as a dance major and a technical theater minor, graduating with top honors. During her time at Paseo, Ms. McGill also attended summer dance intensives and participated in classes at highly regarded dance institutions including Joffrey Ballet in New York City.

Ms. McGill went on to train as a dance major at the University of Missouri-Kansas City under Mary Pat Henry, Paula Weber, DeeAnna Hiett, Catherine Plavcan, and the late Leni Wylliams. During this time, she had the opportunity to travel and study with numerous master teachers such as Fernando Bujones. While at UMKC, she trained and performed in ballet and modern techniques as well as jazz, dance history, anatomy, improvisation, choreography, Flamenco, costume design, and pas de deux.

Ms. McGill has been teaching dance for 20 years and has choreographed countless pieces during her career. She draws from the classics, yet strives to be innovative and current when selecting subject matter for her choreography. An avid life-long learner, Ms. McGill continues to train and expand her knowledge of dance pedagogy through conventions, master classes, and workshops. She is constantly looking for inspiration through books and blogs – seeking new and improved ways to teach. She truly has a passion for teaching dance – inspiring her students to develop as artists, while providing them with a solid foundation in dance technique. Many of Ms. McGill’s students have gone on to dance professionally and/or at the university level.

Boundless Dance Academy is the fulfillment of Ms. McGill’s lifelong dream to operate a business doing something she loves – teaching dance! She currently resides in Kansas City, MO and is the proud mother of 4 amazing children.
